Barelands Estate is delighted to offer exclusive simulated shooting, where luxury meets sporting excellence in the heart of the Sussex countryside, within striking distance of London. Through recent years, Barelands has developed some challenging and picturesque simulated drives across the 500 acres of Sussex topography, which provide guests with the most realistic of simulated targets during the warmer months. These days most commonly cater to teams of up to 15 guests. Once all guests have arrived and had sufficient time to enjoy breakfast, a detailed safety briefing and overview of the day is given before moving off for the first drive. During the day, guests can expect four diverse drives showing a range of clay pigeons including simulated pheasant, partridge and duck. While the shooting is of course the focus of the day, huge emphasis is placed on the hospitality with two “elevenses” enjoyed which usually consists of freshly prepared snacks with fine drinks.  In addition to this, the day culminates with an extensive feast over fire and coals, showcasing the impressive skills of the executive chefs which are well complemented through the organic produce reared in harmony on Barelands Estate. Once the shooting is complete, teams find themselves back at the shoot room enjoying a refreshing drink while reminiscing over the day’s entertainment.
